Elf Bar ELFX Range Explained: ELFX 2 vs ELFX Ultra

Elf Bar spent years as the biggest name in disposables; the ELFX line is what the company built for the era after them — proper refillables with genuinely competitive engineering. Here's how the two main kits differ, and what we can actually ship.
Availability: the ELFX kits are currently unavailable
We are not stocking the ELFX 2 or ELFX Ultra at present. The comparison below is still an accurate guide to the line, but you cannot order either from this page today. What we do have from Elf Bar right now:
- ElfLiq Nic Salt E-liquids — Elf Bar's own flavours in bottle form, for any refillable kit
- Elf Bar Plus 50 and the 4-in-1 Ultra 50 — high-capacity prefilled kits
- Elf Bar 600 kit with 600 pods, plus Dual 10K pods and 4-in-1 pods
Those are prefilled rather than refillable. If you want a true refillable in the ELFX mould, the OXVA Xlim Pro 2 (£16.66) is the closest kit we hold — pair it with ElfLiq and you get the same flavours at refillable running costs.
The shared platform: ELFX pods and QUAQ coils
Both kits run ELFX pods (2ml TPD, 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω) built on QUAQ dual-mesh coils — two mesh elements alternating the heating load, which protects flavour consistency and stretches pod life; Elf Bar claims up to 200% longer than single-coil designs. In practice that's the line's real selling point: fewer pod changes, steadier taste, and pods that cross-fit both devices so your spares survive an upgrade.
ELFX 2 — the endurance pick
The ELFX 2 carries a 1700mAh battery — the biggest Elf Bar has put in a pod kit, rated for up to a week of typical use between charges. Operation is deliberately simple: no screen to manage, just fill, draw, recharge occasionally. For switchers who want disposable-grade simplicity with grown-up economics, this is the one.
ELFX Ultra — the features pick
The ELFX Ultra trades some battery (1500mAh) for capability: a 2.4-inch touchscreen, a 5–45W range with Eco and Turbo modes, and 2A fast charging to around 80% in about half an hour. The wattage span plus lower-resistance pods let it stretch from MTL into restricted DTL — the flexible choice if your style might evolve.
Which one, and what to fill it with
Battery-first and simple: ELFX 2. Screen, speed and range: Ultra. Either way, the natural pairing is ElfLiq — Elf Bar's own flavours in bottle form — from our nic salt range at 10–20mg for the classic draw. The wider brand lives in the Elf Bar collection. 18+ only.
